The video production process
There are four main stages in the video production process:
- Pre-production (planning, creative development & scriptwriting)
- Production (the filming)
- Post-production (editing, voice over recording, graphics creation, etc.)
- Encoding & duplication (Creation of versions for the web, DVD or CD-ROM)
It's a collaborative process, one where it's vital to work closely with the client as we move from the initial idea through to the finished programme.
The Brief
The first step in producing a video is to discuss your requirements in detail.
A written brief will help to clarify your communications objectives and identify the key messages you want to convey to your target audience. As well as providing a basis for further detailed discussion, the brief will also give us the basic information we need in order to devise a powerful creative approach for your project.
